Privacy Policy

Last updated 7 June 2026

dashund ("dashund", "we", "us") is operated by Just Point. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal data when you use dashund at dashund.app (the "Service"). Just Point is the data controller for that processing. If you have any questions, contact us at support@dashund.app.

Information we collect

  • Account and organization data. When you sign in, our authentication provider supplies your name, email address, and organization membership.
  • Data you upload. The spreadsheets and files you import, the table data derived from them, and the dashboards, charts, and elements you create.
  • Billing data. If you subscribe to a paid plan, our payment processor handles your payment details. We do not store full card numbers; we receive your subscription and plan status.
  • Share recipient data. When you protect a shared dashboard by email, we collect the email addresses of viewers who verify access, either by one-time code or by signing in with Google or Microsoft.
  • Technical data. Standard request logs and the cookies needed to operate the Service, including authentication and share-access cookies.

How your data is processed by AI

dashund turns plain-language instructions into code that transforms your data. To do this, we send a compact profile of your table (column names, types, and a small sample of rows) to our AI provider, Google, through the Gemini API. Your full dataset is not sent to the AI provider. The generated code runs over your complete data in an isolated sandbox with no network access. Under Google's API terms, data sent through the Gemini API is not used to train its models.

Why we process your data

We process personal data to provide and maintain the Service (performance of our contract with you), to keep it secure and improve it (our legitimate interests), to process payments (performance of our contract), and, where required, on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.

Service providers

We share data only with providers that help us run the Service, under appropriate data protection terms:

  • Vercel, hosting and content delivery
  • Neon, database
  • Cloudflare R2, file and data storage (EU region)
  • Google, AI processing through the Gemini API
  • WorkOS, authentication and organization management
  • Stripe, payment processing
  • Resend, transactional email
  • Inngest, background job processing
  • Google and Microsoft, optional sign-in for shared dashboard viewers

Storage and international transfers

Your uploaded data and database records are stored in the European Union. Some of our providers may process data outside the EU. Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.

How long we keep data

We keep your account and dashboard data for as long as your organization is active. When an organization is deleted, its uploaded files, parsed data, and related records are removed. Records tied to expired share links are deleted automatically by a periodic cleanup process.

Your rights

If you are in the European Economic Area, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, the right to data portability, and the right to withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, contact support@dashund.app. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection supervisory authority.

Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, private storage, and isolated execution for data transformations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data using industry-standard measures.

Children

dashund is not intended for anyone under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
